Citizenship
We provide guidance to individuals who want to work and reside in Canada via federal programs.
Service Description
A Canadian resident enjoys a lot more protections than a permanent residency holder does. You will take the citizenship exam if you fulfil all the criteria for citizenship. You are usually invited to the oath taking ceremony for Canadian citizenship within six months of passing the test, pledging their allegiance to the obligations and privileges of Canadian citizenship. As a Canadian resident, there are many rights and privileges you are entitled to. Such rights include the right to free expression, voice, religious practise, voting, peaceful assembly, the rights of aboriginal people, the rights to mobility, the right to equality and legal rights.
